Local support helps us a lot. Weaste Allotments & Gardening Association is a not-for-profit membership association. We gratefully receive assistance from businesses within the local community, but there are certain things we have to pay for to ensure a regular supply to plot holders.

A BIG thank you to these local agencies, businesses and trades for helping or working with us in last twelve months …

The place for Salford plot holders to learn about Bee Keeping.

Throughout the year different types of wood chip are brought in by local tree surgeons to help plot holders create weed-free paths between the plots.

Local supermarkets have been generous in providing assistance with items for social events and giving publicity to the availability of plots.

Pallets from deliveries of chicken feed, compost (peat-free), and other essential food growing goodies are recycled. If you have anything to offer please don’t just leave it at the gates, instead let our Secretary know what you have and when you’d like to drop it off. Thank you.

Builders and developers have offered scaffolding planks and pallets useful for creating raised beds and compost bins.
Local trades also offer their time and knowledge – skills assistance – whilst on site to help create things such as raised beds or sheds.
