Having an allotment plot encourages people to get out of their home and is a nature filled refuge from work. Plot size can be adapted or shared to ensure that it is manageable. The nurture of nature is stress releasing. There are also many plot holders who use the space to practice music (socially responsibly to their plot and other neighbours), write, read and meditate once they’ve done their green chores.
